This piece was written for the MIVOS Quartet residency at DePaul University. Amid a necessity to break my own expectations and relationships with an audience, I took to experimenting with audience size and immediately went to the smallest one possible.

One of the most unique parts of writing this piece was discovering a new method of orchestrational development. Partially inspired by ambisonics, I constructed “spokes” that I would use to change the location of where the sound was coming from in the chorale section at m. 70.
